Led and participated in the architectural design and low level design for two Intel 80960 based, I/O channel boards linking Bull mainframes to IBM peripherals via fiber optics. Heavily involved in the development of several Xilinx 4000 series FPGAs using Viewlogic and Xilinx tools with concentration on chip and board level simulation. Led an analysis of top-down design methodologies using VHDL and logic synthesis for a large gate array design. Developed a DMA like design into a LSI gate array, on schedule with first pass success.

Also technical presentations to NASA, DARPA, and prime contractors for data management systems, momentum systems, pointing systems, and magnetic suspension.

Charged with the responsibility for the design and development of a Z-80 based controller for a Space Shuttle experiment. Duties involved spec writing, digital and analog design and worst case analysis, troubleshooting, writing and debugging assembly language code.
